Dorothy T. Kerry

Dorothy T. Kerry, 96, of Du Bois, passed away at 8:36 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2014 at her residence.

Dorothy had been a homemaker and had owned and operated East Side Tavern with her husband Ernest for 25 years. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois. Dorothy was also a member of St. Barbara Altar Sodality and St. Charles Quilters.

She was born July 10, 1918 in Waltonville, the daughter of John and Clara (Spotanski) Stelmazewski.

She married Ernest L. Kerry on October 5, 1936 in Scheller, and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1991.

She is survived by one daughter, Marcella Kujawa of Du Bois; two sons, John Kerry and wife Margie of Waltonville and Jack Kerry and wife Vicki of Du Bois; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and one brother.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 3, at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois with Fr. John Iffert officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial will be in the St. Barbara Cemetery in Scheller.

Friends may make memorials to St. Charles Catholic Church or St. Barbara Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
