The event was hosted by the SIUC Collegiate FFA Chapter, a student organization at SIUC. FFA members competing in the event selected an agricultural job that they are currently capable of attaining. Students submitted a cover letter, resume, and three letters of reference prior to the contest. Students completed a job application and were required to participate in a fifteen minute face to face interview, a phone interview, and then composed a follow-up letter. In varsity competition, Kari Hake placed third and Sarah Herrmann placed fourth. In the junior varsity competition, Austin Schorfheide placed second and Mason Niedbalski took fifth.
