Anthony ‘A.J.’ Hillesheim

Mr. Anthony James Hillesheim of Addieville, formerly of Belleville, departed this life in the emergency room of the Washington County Hospital in Nashville on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 5:19 a.m. He had attained the age of 27 years, three months and eight days.

Anthony was born in Belleville on October 9, 1987 the son of Anthony Powers and Julie Hillesheim. He was united in marriage to Kimberly Smith in Belleville on November 16, 2007 and she survives his passing.

A.J. attended Belleville West High School where he played football. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Northwest Volunteer Fire Department in Belleville. He enjoyed bowling and playing football and took great pride in the fire department.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Kim Hillesheim of Addieville; three daughters, Karli, Aubri and Hayli Hillesheim, all of Addieville; his mother, Julie Manion and husband Martin of Addieville; his father, Anthony Powers of Lebanon, Tenn.; two sisters, Jodi Hillesheim of Belleville and Annie Cargile of Lebanon, Tenn.; a brother, Dalton Cargile of Lebanon, Tenn.; maternal grandfather, James Hillesheim of Addieville; aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Judith Hillesheim; paternal grandmother, Clellie Powers and aunts and uncles.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home of Okawville on Wednesday, January 21, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Following the visitation, cremation will be performed.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the children of A.J. Hillesheim and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
