January 13

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Tilden Police Department on Honeysuckle Road West of Illinois State Route 153.

January 14

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy investigated a two vehicle crash. Seth A. Baxter, 21, of Pinckneyville, was driving a 2005 Cadillac south on St. Rt. 127 when he crashed into the rear of the 2011 Nissan driven by Andrew S. Lingle, 43, of Pinckneyville, about 150 feet north of Pierce Rd. All occupants refused medical treatment at the scene, both vehicles were towed and no citations were issued.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department received a report of criminal trespass to a motor vehicle occurring in Richview.

January 15

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted DCFS on an investigation in Irvington.

The sheriff’s office took a suspicious activity complaint from a resident of rural Okawville.

January 16

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred in Richview.

January 17

The sheriff’s department responded to Ashley for a report of burglary to a residence.

January 18

A Washington County Deputy responded to a car versus deer traffic crash. Diane Brierly, 65 of Freeburg, was traveling west on Oakdale Blacktop and struck a deer.

January 19

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Nashville Police Department with traffic control for a multiple vehicle accident on State Route 127 and Holzhauer Auto Mall Drive.

Nicolas Rodriguez, 38 from Centralia, was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for no valid driver’s license. Rodriguez was also cited for operating a vehicle with only one red taillight.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department took a report of retail theft from a business in New Minden.
