Stingers Headed For State After Marion Competition

The Nashville Community High School Stingers dance team earned state-qualifying scores in single A jazz and pom dance at last Saturday’s competition held in Marion. This resulted in a first place trophy for the “Rags to Riches” themed pom dance, and a fourth place finish in jazz. Lexie Small was awarded her second Rising Star medal for showmanship. The IDTA state competition will be Feb. 14 at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Spingfield.

This Saturday the girls compete in Effingham at IHSA sectionals. Front Row: (Seniors) Kelsie Klingenberg, Lexie Small and Abbey Hale.
