Cindy Durr of Nashville, formerly of Okawville, departed this life in the Good Samaritan Regional Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon, on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 8:20 a.m. She had attained the age of 81 years, six months and 15 days.
Cindy was born in St. Louis on July 4, 1933. She worked at and managed the Hen House Restaurant in Okawville for 17 years until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing and she dearly loved her cat, Tutu.
Left to mourn her passing are her six children, Richard Durr and wife Jaime of Ft. Myers, Fla., Sharon Gray of St. Clair, Mo., Henry Lee Durr Jr. and wife Denise of Collinsville, Mark Durr and wife Patricia of Nashville, Dwayne Durr and wife Erica of Okawville and Paul Durr and wife April of Caseyville; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren as well as a host of friends.
In accordance with the wishes of the family, cremation will be performed.
A graveside service with interment of ashes was held for family and close friends on Saturday, January 24 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Okawville.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
