Ruth A. Maschhoff, age 64 of Centralia, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 24, 2015.

Mrs. Maschhoff was born on March 29, 1950, in Centralia, a daughter of Reinhold and Lorna (Fruend) Twenhafel. She married Donald Maschhoff on July 5, 1969, in Hoyleton, and he survives in Hoyleton.

Ruth is also survived by her children, Sara Lombardo and husband Joe of St. Peter, Mo., and Dora Maschhoff and friend Dale Diekemper of Carlyle; a grandson, Nicholas Lombardo; a brother, Ralph Twenhafel and wife Wanda of Centralia; two brothers-in-law, Ron Maschhoff and wife Diane and Randy Maschhoff, all of Hoyleton; a niece, Tammy Oertel and husband Jason; two nephews, Josh Maschhoff and wife Jennifer, and Justin Maschhoff; and her great nieces and nephews, Tyson and Shelby Oertel, and Ila Maschhoff.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her in-laws, Shirley Twenhafel and Dale Maschhoff.

Ruth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman, where she was also active with the L.W.M.L. She was also a member of the Clinton County Home Extension. Ruth was a home health care giver, and also helped on the family farm. She loved to make people laugh while she was clowning, and also enjoyed gardening and flowers.

A funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28. Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoyleton.

The family suggests memorial donations to be made to Trinity Lutheran Church (Hoffman) Endowment Fund, Trinity Lutheran Church (Hoyleton), or to Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School, and will be received at Zieren Funeral Home.
