Nashville FFA members Clark Wisely and Tricia Herrmann were recently awarded the Gold Emblem ranking at the National FFA Proficiency competition. In order to advance to the National Proficiency Contest, Wisely and Herrmann first won the state contest in their respective area. Wisely competed in the area of Forage Production where he worked on his family farm producing over 100 acres of alfalfa hay and Bermuda grass. Herrmann’s project was Diversified Horticulture, where she produces mums, pumpkins and gourds on her family farm. The Gold Emblem ranking is a prestigious honor as it is the highest ranking that can be achieved.
