NMS Advances To Class M State Semifinals
Nashville Middle School’s magical run continued Friday when the Junior Hornets beat Gallatin County 41-29 to advance to the semifinals of the SIJHSAA Class M State Tournament at Rend Lake College.
Nashville led for most of the game, though Gallatin County managed to stay in striking distance for most of the first three quarters. The Junior Hornets put the game away late with a 15-point fourth quarter.
Bryce Bultman and Tanner Bergmann did the heavy lifting on the offensive end for NMS with ten points apiece. Carson Parker added seven points, Brendan Baum and Matt Anderson finished with five apiece, and Tristen Hercules chipped in four points.
Nashville (25-0) took on Aviston Tuesday in the semifinals. The final round will be held Saturday at Rend Lake, with the third place game set to tip off at 6 p.m. and the championship game slated for 7:30 p.m.
