Local Couple Hits 70 Years Together

Sgt. Delmar Gumm and Miss Isabelle McLain were wed on February 22, 1945 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Jamestown, N.D.

They have lived in South Carolina, North Dakota, Indiana and Illinois.

They moved to Nashville in the 1990s to be closer to relatives and Scott Air Force Base.

Delmar was in the automobile business all his working life; Isabella was a housewife. Delmar is a retired Air Force Reservist.
