Gluten Free Fads And Facts With Lamplighters

Babs Frederking from the Washington County Health Department presented a lesson on “Gluten Free Fads and Facts” to Lamplighters Home and Community Unit at the February meeting.

Sources of gluten are wheat, rye, barley, and triticale, which is a blend of wheat and rye.

The lesson was very interesting and informative. Shirley Hagene hosted the meeting and served delicious refreshments.

Members were informed that the Annual Meeting will be held at the Okawville Legion Home on April 28, with registration at 6 p.m. Elizabeth Gonzalez will give a presentation on Chair Yoga.

Lamplighters next meeting will be on Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m. at the Oakdale Town Hall. Terri Kurwicki, representative from Haertling Radio Shack, will present the lesson, “Which is Best TBD-TTT Cell Phone or Smart Phone?”

The meeting is open to the public.
