Just Announced Special Horticulture Classes
University of Illinois Extension has opened up the Illinois Master Gardening Classes for those who want to advance their knowledge and understanding of plants and Ornamental Horticulture. If you would like to become a Master Gardener and currently do not have the time to devote to the full program or would like to try out a few classes to see if the program meets your needs then this is your opportunity.
Classes will be offered at the U of I Extension Office at 1163 North 4th street, Breese on the following Tuesdays.
March 3 – Annuals/Perennials
March 10 – Diseases
March 17 – Fruits
March 24 – Vegetables
March 31 – Integrated Pest Management
Classes are individually priced and you can earn up to two $25 certificates to be used off of your next year’s training if you choose to attend. Classes run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. with a full lunch break. Each class is taught by a University of Illinois specialist and will provide an in-depth look into each subject being offered.
