After helping to treat Paul Piasecki for a heart attack (see page A1), Washington County Paramedics James Hodge and John Felchlia were presented with a certificate of appreciation. SSM also presented a certificate to Washington County Hospital. Below, Cardiologist Dr. Avinash Murthy, M.D. presents a certificate to WCH President and CEO Nancy Newby. The time in Piasecki’s case was 31-percent faster than the national average, with him spending less than 20 minutes at WCH, and with his ambulance ride from WCH to Good Samaritan in Mt. Vernon taking a quick 22 minutes.
