County 4-H Project Showcase

By now, everyone should have their project manuals in hand and hopefully you’ve opened them! (Handbooks should be done by April 1.) Fair will be here before we know it and we hate to think that everyone is placing unnecessary stress on themselves by waiting until the last minute to complete their 4-H projects. Take some time each week to explore your projects and get a head start! The more time you take on your projects, the more you will learn and the more your skills will shine for those judges on show day! If you are prepared and would like an audience to check out your work before fair…consider joining us on April 6th at the Volunteer Appreciation Potluck at the Addieville Community Club! Put your project on display and get a chance to answer questions from 4-H volunteers in a comfortable setting. This would be a great practice before fair! It might also count as a talk or demonstration at the county level. Please let us know no later than April 1st if you are interested in having a place in the showcase!

4-H Archery to

Begin in Late March

We are excited to announce that the 4-H archery SPIN club will begin shortly. Instructor Chris Hoercher will be holding Saturday morning sessions tentatively scheduled to begin March 28 and continuing into the summer months. Location will be at the Washington County Extension Office. Members will learn safe and responsible use of archery equipment including sound decision-making, self-discipline and concentration. The SPIN club will also promote the highest standards of safety, sportsmanship and ethical behavior. If your child is interested in joining this club for the 2015 season, please contact the Extension Office. We are also looking for adult volunteers who are willing to assist at practices.
