The Kaskaskia College Season of Entertainment welcomes Greg Johnson, one of North America’s top professional storm-chasers and severe weather experts to its main campus on Friday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Jane Knight Auditorium.
Johnson has been documenting extreme weather for several years after becoming interested in the epic storms he experienced in the prairies of his native Canada.
Using sophisticated weather-tracking technology, his ability to read severe weather patterns and a team of dedicated sidekicks, Greg has put over 108,000 miles on his Tornado Truck, intercepting and documenting hundreds of storms across the United States and Canada since 2011 alone.
His recent experiences include documenting and compassionately sharing the aftermath of the massive twister that devastated Joplin, Missouri.
His presentation at KC will include spectacular video of his weather adventures as well as advice on how to stay safe in extreme weather situations.
A firm believer in the “Bucket List” philosophy, Greg’s mission is to inspire others to chase their own passions, while sharing and teaching the lessons he has learned from pursuing his.
Tickets for Greg Johnson’s presentation are $15 for adults and $8 for youths under 18 and can be purchased by calling the Kaskaskia College Box Office at 618-545-3223, or going online at www.kaskaskia.edu/soe.
