Barbara Behrman hosted the March meeting of Lamplighters at the Oakdale Town Hall. Also in attendance was theOkawville Nite Unit. Terrie Kurwicki from Haertling Radio Shack was the guest speaker presenting the lesson, “Difference Between Basic Phones and Smart Phones.” She also helped individuals solve problems they were having with their phones.
Mary McClay agreeded to take the office of president, Myrene Alfeldt the office of first and second vice president, and Barbara Behrman agreeded to be the director of cultural arts with recreation for the coming year. The rest of the officers and directors will remain the same as last year.
Those planning to attend the annual meeting in Okawville should pay Shirley Hagene the $12 for the meal. Mary McClay and Mildred Kroener will furnish items for the silent auction. Members also need to pay Shirley membership dues of $15.
Mary McClay, Shirley Hagene, and Myrene Alfeldt will prepare lunch for the quilters at the Extension Office on Friday, March 20.
For next month’s meeting Lamplighters will meet with the Okawville Nite Unit on April 21 at the Okawville Senior Center at 7:30 p.m.
