March 10

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to Interstate 64 near the 38 mile marker for a motorist assist.

The Sheriff’s Dept. assisted the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department in attempting to locate a male subject.

The Sheriff’s Dept. took a report of identity theft from a rural Nashville resident.

The Sheriff’s Dept. took a report of a theft from a residence on St. Rt. 153, near Venedy.

The Sheriff’s Dept. responded to a one vehicle accident on st. Rt. 160 and Sampson St. in Addieville. William Hettenhausen, 79, of Okawville, ran off of the roadway and struck a sign. No injuries were reported.

March 11

The Sheriff’s Dept. arrested William E. Mourey, 76, of Belleville, on an outstanding warrant.

March 12

The Sheriff’s Dept. responded to an address on Willow Rd. near New Minden for domestic trouble.

The Sheriff’s Dept. responded to a residence in Irvington for a domestic dispute.

March 13

The Sheriff’s Dept. assisted the Okawville Police Department with a warrant service.

The Sheriff’s Dept. took a report of phone harassment from a residence in Addieville.

The Sheriff’s Dept. assisted the Okawville Police Department at the Okawville high School.

The Sheriff’s Dept. received a report of damage to property in Ashley.

March 14

The Sheriff’s Dept. received a report of an abandoned vehicle in rural Nashville.

The Sheriff’s Dept. responded to a residence in rural Nashville for a criminal damage to property complaint. Gregory Kurwicki reported that an unknown subject arrived at his residence to sell meat from his pickup truck. When Kurwicki refused to purchase the meat, the unknown subject drove his vehicle through Gregory’s yard, causing damage to the grass.

Juan D. Contreras, 22, of Centralia, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Dept. for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Dept. responded to the Okawville American Legion to assist the Okawville Police with an intoxicated subject.

The Sheriff’s Dept. assisted the Illinois State Police with a report of a domestic battery in progress at the New Baden exit of I-64.
