Allen J. Shirley, Jr.

Allen J. Shirley, Jr., age 74 died March 13, 2015 in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. Born on September 11, 1940 to Dr. and Mrs. Allen J. Shirley, Sr. (nee Edith K. Douglas) and preceded in death by his parents and sister Susan Strauss; Mr. Shirley leaves behind the mother of his children Sandra, a daughter Jeramy Evans, and a son Benjamin.

His family attended the Presbyterian Church in his hometown Nashville. Mr. Shirley graduated from Nashville Community High School in 1958 and from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in 1962 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. In May 1994 he completed a degree of Associate in Applied Science in Radiology Technology from Kaskaskia College in Centralia. He enjoyed photography, camping and collecting antiques.

National Cremation and Burial Society in Milton, Florida, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
