READY! SET . . .and let’s get ready to GO! The 9th Annual Hoyleton Hofbraufest 5KRun/Walk race is receiving registrations as this article is being written. Online registration is at: www.raceroster.com/4947 or contact Debra Holle (618-780-0357).
The race will be held on Saturday, July 11 at 8:00 am. A Youth Half-Mile Run for ages 10 & under will take-off at 9:00 a.m. As always, registration includes a t-shirt, entrance into the multiple prized raffle as well as cash awards and medals to the bracketed winners.
Next Sunday is Palm Sunday and Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton will hold a special worship service. Worship will consist of a Reader’s Theatre presentation of the passion story as it is presented in the 14th and 15th chapters of the gospel according to St. Mark. Worship at Zion begins at 10 am and all are welcome to join in this special service.
Good Friday worship service will be offered at Zion UCC in Hoyleton at 6 pm on Friday, April 3. Congregation members from Friedens UCC in Irvington and Zion UCC Hoyleton will gather for that worship service.
Zion and Friedens UCC members will also gather for an Easter Sunrise worship service at 7 am on Easter Sunday, April 5 at Friedens UCC in Irvington. Breakfast will be served after this worship service. Friedens UCC and Zion UCC congregation members will gather at their respective facilities for their regular Easter Sunday worship service on Easter Sunday.
For Zion UCC this will be at 10 am Easter Sunday.
