By Alex Haglund

At approximately 7 p.m., Monday, March 30, Nashville Police received an emergency call that two five-year-old children had gone missing from the yard they were playing in at a residence on Community Street.

Police responded and were joined by members of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department and EMS, the Nashville Volunteer Fire Department and the Illinois State Police.

The children were found a short time after the search started. They had wandered over to the neighbor’s home while playing and their babysitter was unable to locate them.
