Hamilton Brings Home Swimming Awards In Regional, Area Competition

Ana Hamilton, 13, a seventh grader at St. Ann’s in Nashville has won several medals in swimming competition with her team, the Barracudas from the Centralia Recreation Center YMCA, CRCY.

Hamilton competed in both the regional competition in Centralia on March 28 and the Area Championship in Edwardsville on March 13-15.

Hamilton won a second place trophy for girls 11 to 12 at the area championships and won first place in the 11 to 12 200 yard freestyle relay.

Barracuda coaches include Larry and Susan Jukes. Among the other Nashville swimmers on the team are Gabe Kried, Jordan and Gavin Love, Emily Harper, Katie and Abby Kessler, Hazel Konkel, and Brodie Meyer.
