10th Annual “Walk With The Dogs” Scheduled For June 6
10 Years and Still Fighting Pancreatic Cancer!!!
The 10th Annual 5K “Walk With the Dogs” will be held on Saturday, June 6 at Memorial Park at 7:30 a.m.
This event is hosted by The Jeanenne Thompson Foundation, Inc. to raise awareness and funding of Pancreatic Cancer.
In the past 9 years events, the Foundation has raised over $186,000 which is donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, which recently received the high 4-star Charity Navigator award.
This year will mark the passing of $200,000 raised reports Co-Chairs Christi Thompson Merritt and Carolyn Detering.
The Foundation was formed in 2005 after Merritt’s mother and Detering’s sister (and former Nashville resident) lost her battle with the disease.
Entry forms have been emailed and mailed out and the entry deadline to guarantee your shirt size is May 15.
Entry fee is $20 and includes t-shirt and bandana for your 4-legged companion. (you do not have to have a dog to participate in the event).
