I met an old friend for lunch at Fairview Heights on Thursday and to see the movie ‘The Longest Ride’, good movie. I know it’s a good movie when I cry. The movie staring Alan Alda and Scott Eastwood, whom by the way is Clint Eastwood’s son, is based on the novel by Nicolas Sparks of the same name. If you liked the Notebook you will love this movie. Here’s the rest of this story: We ate at Cracker Barrel and the cost of the popcorn and soda at the movie (small sizes) was more than our lunch. Go on a Tuesday, they have a senior citizen discount for the movie and treats.
The annual Royal Neighbors Family Fun Night was held Friday evening at the Richview United Methodist Church. There was plenty of good food and fellowship.
See you soon MLRP, it’s 91 degrees.
If you like breaded mushrooms, try the ones at the Downtown Lounge in Centralia.
It’s not too early to start planning for the Richview Town Wide rummage sale. Now is the time to get all those things out and ready to make a little extra spending money. Everybody needs a new pair of shoes.
I expect the spraying and planting will start soon, please be careful of the farm equipment on the roads.
If you have children, ages up through grade school, that would enjoy meeting with other children and learning about the Bible send them over on Sunday evenings for Youth Group from 5-6.
