April 7
Mary Ellen Klein, 34, of Richview, was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department for driving under the influence and for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
The Sheriff’s Dept. took a report of tax fraud from the Venedy Township.
The Sheriff’s Dept. responded to the area of Third St. and Superior in Irvington for a report of a suspicious vehicle.
The Sheriff’s Dept. arrested Brittany Anthony, 23, of Ashley, on a Marion County warrant.
The Sheriff’s Dept. took a report of identity theft from a resident of rural Nashville.
The Sheriff’s Dept. took a report of identity theft from a resident of Hoyleton.
The Sheriff’s Dept. responded to Elkton Road for a report of a burglary.
The Sheriff’s Dept. conducted a traffic stop in Addieville. The vehicle’s driver, Mindy T. Thacker, 25, of Addieville, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance.
April 8
The Sheriff’s Dept. responded to an abandoned vehicle at Sycamore Road and Peach Tree Road, near Irvington.
The Sheriff’s Dept. responded to a welfare check in Irvington.
The Sheriff’s Dept. returned a phone call to a resident of rural Hoyleton, in reference to possible identity theft.
April 9
The Sheriff’s Dept. responded to a business alarm in the Addieville area with the assistance f the Okawville Police Department. The business was searched with no one found inside and no further action taken.
The Sheriff’s Dept. took a report of identity theft in rural Marissa. It was reported that the complainants social security number was used to fraudulently file a tax return.
The Sheriff’s Dept. arrested Shelby W. Smith, 36, on an outstanding Washington County arrest warrant. Smith was in the custody of the Department of Corrections at the Judicial Center for a court appearance, and remained in D.O.C. custody.
The Sheriff’s Dept. took a report of fraud from a resident of Venedy.
The Sheriff’s Dept. responded to Okawville to assist the Okawville Police Department.
The Sheriff’s Dept. assisted the Illinois State Police with a vehicle that ran off of I-64 near mile marker 52.
The Sheriff’s Dept. assisted the ISP on I-64 near Okawville with an abandoned vehicle.
April 10
The Sheriff’s Dept. assisted the Nashville Police Department with a traffic stop.
The Sheriff’s Dept. responded to a report of debris in the roadway on St. Rt. 15 near Angela St. A deputy located the fallen tree and cleared the roadway.
The Sheriff’s Dept. took a walk-in report of tax fraud.
The Sheriff’s Dept. transported Ronald L. Henderson, 39, of Vernon, from the Marion County Jail to the Washington County Jail, to be held on an outstanding warrant for a petition to revoke probation.
The Sheriff’s Dept. took a walk-in report of tax fraud from a resident of Irvington.
