Ashley Library is offering a free C.P.R. class on April 30 from 5 p.m. til 8 p.m. I hope that everyone takes advantage of this class the life you save may someday be one of your loved ones. Call the Library if you have any questions at 485-2295.
Zumba classes are scheduled for April 29, May 5 and May 13 at 6;30 pm at the Community Building at the park. Cost is $5 per person. All area residents are welcome.
Ashley Flea Market is May 9 at 7 a.m. Spaces are available for $10 for a 10 x 10 space outside. Please contact Melody at 314-0684 for a contract. Ashley Community Committee will be doing the concessions.
Ashley Community Committee meets the second and fourth Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Building. Membership is free and open to residents of Richview, Radom and Ashley. The committee is working hard planning a July celebration and all help is appreciated.
Ashley Community Committee is sponsoring a Caps for Benches collection. The caps they will accept is Medicine bottle caps, milk jug caps, detergent caps, hair spray caps, toothpaste tube caps, deodorant caps, drink bottle caps, flip top caps (example mustard and ketchup bottles) spray paint caps, ointment tube caps. And cottage cheese lids, mayonnaise jar lids, peanut butter jar lids, yogurt lids, ice cream bucket lids, cool whip lids, coffee can lids, cream cheese lids and butter container lids. All lids must be clean and in boxes or bags and can be left at City Hall or contact Melody at 314-0684 to schedule pickup. Ashley Community Committee is planning on benches for the school and the park. These benches require 400 pounds of lids, caps and $200 cash for each bench.
Don’t forget the upcoming Electronic Recycling on May 14 at City Hall during the hours of 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. for Ashley residents only. T.V’s and computer monitors will not be accepted for disposal. Questions call city hall 485-2270..
Ashley will not have city wide clean up. The Trash Company will pick up items but keep in mind they only have 1 person on the truck so if your items are heavy please help the driver load them.Call City Hall if you have any questions 485-2270.
United Methodist Church has Sunday School at 11 a.m. with Church following at 11:45 every Sunday. Everyone is welcome.
