Nashville Community High School hosted its 24th annual Post Prom party. This very successful lock-in event “Fiesta Del Tres De Mayo” was held in the Assembly Hall from midnight until 5:30 a.m. on May 3rd immediately following the Junior/Senior Prom. Around 180 students attended the event. Post Prom parties are held in communities to provide a chemical-free night for teenagers and helps assure a safe and enjoyable evening for all who attend.
Bean bag toss, inflatable Sumo Wrestling, obstacle course and Hungry Hippo competitions, photo booth, raffles, relays, Wii games, limbo, loggin’ sloggin’ and food turned the Assembly Hall into one big amusement park. Everyone attending that was registered by the deadline received a T-shirt and prizes, some of which included luggage, gift certificates, dorm accessories, gift sets and cash. Other attendance prizes included professional sports tickets, photography gift certificates, theme park tickets and gift certificates for, golfing, car care and much, much more.
This year, the finale was a comedy hypnosis show by Dan Ladd. The students and adult volunteers appeared to enjoy the hour-long hypnosis show as all eyes were on the floor the entire time and laughter sounded throughout the gym. Both the participants and members of the audience took away fun-filled memories of the night.
Grand prizes were won by playing “Heads or Tails” game. Senior gifts included a TV won by Lexie Peper and a Blue Tooth speaker won by Tori Bannert. Junior gifts included a TV won by Riley Edwards and a Blue Tooth Speaker won by Kyle Schnitker. Other grand prizes was a Coke Bag full of goodies won by Abby Kroener, $50 GC won by Kirsten Easley, $75 cash won by Caleb Hallock, and a Go-pro camera won by Marcus Bean. Close to 140 businesses, organizations, churches, cities, villages, fire departments and individuals throughout the school district and beyond contributed monetary or prize donations.
