Catherine S. Shewmake

Catherine Sue Shewmake, 61, of Nashville, passed away at 6:22 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015 in the emergency room at Washington County Hospital in Nashville. She was born on January 7, 1954 in East St. Louis, the daughter of Kenneth and Elizabeth Locklar Holbrook. She married Don Shewmake on July 7, 2000, in Nashville, and he survives. Also surviving are two sons, Rennie and Ricky Hunt, both of Carbondale; a daughter, Vicki Holbrook of Gulf Breeze, Fla; a sister, Falina Jensen of St. Louis; a step-granddaughter and her mother-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barb Butrey.

Mrs. Shewmake was a homemaker.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 14 at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery in Nashville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at ww.styningerfuneralhomes.com.
