Supporting Sanders Is ‘Common Sense’
Now that we have a presidential candidate who uses common sense rather than politician-speak (the language of exclusive, money-driven clubs such as the traditional Republican and Democratic parties), perhaps more citizens will hear the truth about this strange world we live in.
I must admit, I am a bit disappointed that Bernie Sanders will seek the nomination as a Democrat rather than as an Independent. Running as a Democrat is the only way Sanders will get enough support to have a chance.
Perhaps there is enough support to make Sanders a true alternative to Hillary Clinton. Of course, if she runs against Jeb Bush in the 2016 election, she would be the lesser of two evils.
It is past time for citizens of the United States to start thinking for themselves. It’s past time to stop using vague, misleading terms such as liberal and conservative when we really mean personal prejudice, personal belief and personal greed.
We must determine where we stand on the wrong/right scale.
In this case, “right” means morally good, justified, or acceptable. Correct!
In this case, “wrong” means unjust, dishonest, or immoral.
These definitions are not based on religion in general or on any one religious organization specifically. These definitions are not based on the laws of a particular democratic form of government or the laws of a specific oligarchy.
It’s not conservative or Republican for the former CEO of a major corporation to say that people don’t have a right to water. (He says it because he wants his company to own the water and make a profit.) It’s not conservative or Republican – it’s wrong!!!!
It’s not conservative or Republican for the wealthiest people in the nation to focus on eliminating Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. It’s wrong!!!
Don’t get caught up in the word game that uses “socialism” to describe anything that’s not “for profit.” We need some social programs on a national level – healthcare, roads, bridges, water…. That’s why it’s so important (even crucial) to support Bernie Sanders’ efforts. He is right (meaning, of course, his common sense is correct).
