Purple and Paw Prints Means “Walk With the Dogs” is Coming Up

As you look around town, you will see Purple Bows with Paw Prints and “Dog Signs” in yards, so it means the 10th Annual 5K “Walk With the Dogs” is right around the corner.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6th at Memorial Park at 7:30 AM. The deadline to register and guarantee your shirt size is this Saturday, MAY 15!

The entry fee is $20 and that includes your T-shirt and dog bandana (you don’t have to have a 4-legged companion to participate though). You can register online at www.jthompsonwalkwiththedogs.com or you can print an entry form off and mail it in or drop it off and with Charlie and Carolyn Detering.

The event has raised $186,500 for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in nine years. This year will be a milestone year with raising the Cumulative Lifetime Giving to over $200,000. With over 45 Community and Corporate Sponsors and over 350 participants, this year will be special, celebrating 10 years of fighting Pancreatic Cancer and making tributes to 20 area residents who lost their battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

If you have any questions about registering for the event or making a donation please contact Christi Thompson Merritt at 615.444.3190 or Carolyn Detering at 327.3976 (Co-Chairs of the event).
