Ashley Public Library Open House May 31

Bring your family and friends to check out the improvements at the Ashley Public Library at an open house Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 1:00 3:00pm. Refreshments and attendance prizes.

The Ashley Public Library applied for and received $35,000.00 from the Secretary of State Live and Learn Construction Grant. This grant is given to small libraries with limited income to update and improve the library.

The Library used these funds to add a handicap parking area, outdoor sign, handicap automated entry door, furnace & air conditioner, book and DVD return, drinking fountain, new circulation desk, new utility chairs, a seating area for small meetings and reading, and interior painting.

Also thanks to the Ashley Township for wall decals in the children’s area making it an inviting, happy place to visit.

The historical room has updated the Ashley High School graduation picture display. Library located at 70 North Second Street, Ashley.
