Kaskaskia College freshman golfer Madi May shot a final round 83 to earn a top 50 finish at the 2015 NJCAA National Championship held in Mesa, Ariz. May’s four day total of 341 was good for 45th place among the nation’s top community college golfers. On a very challenging golf course, May shot nearly 20 strokes better than the average total score.

Coach Jay Garrett reports this is the best finish for a Blue Angel golfer in the history of the program.

“I’m very proud of Madi. She battled a tough course, kept her composure, hit some amazing shots and put together four solid rounds of golf,” Garrett said. “For a freshman to perform like that at a national championship is very impressive.”

Madi is the daughter of Dan and Patty May of Nashville.
