Eldor Reinkensmeier
Mr. Eldor Reinkensmeier of Nashville departed this life at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 7:01 p.m. He had attained the age of 89 years, five months and 18 days.
Mr. Reinkensmeier was born on December 1, 1925 in Covington, the son of Adolph and Bertha (Harre) Reinkensmeier. He was united in marriage to Irene Jasudowicz on August 3, 1963 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sparta, and she preceded him in death on February 12, 2009.
Eldor was baptized and confirmed at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville. Eldor was a lifelong farmer who thoroughly enjoyed doing his job from sun up to sun down.
Left to mourn his passing are his three children, Lisa Malawy and her husband Glenn of Nashville, Lloyd Reinkensmeier of Mt. Vernon, and Larry Reinkensmeier of Mt. Vernon, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Stacey Malawy-Valdivia and her husband Jorge, Steven Malawy and his fiancée Kristi Frederking, Ashley and Amanda Malawy; two great grandchildren, Jacob and Kylie Valdivia; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a brother, Clarence Reinkensmeier; and two sisters, Loretta Wilke and Hildegard Jacobs.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville on Wednesday, May 27 at 1 p.m. with Rev.’s Matthew Wietfeldt and Paul Cwynar officiating and with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
