This Saturday morning over 300 “Purple Warriors” and their 4-legged friends will fill the streets of Nashville to raise awareness and funding for Pancreatic Cancer. New records have been set for this years milestone 10th year for this event which began in 2006. And this year they will surpass the $200,000 mark for Cumulative Lifetime Giving to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network which which the Jeanenne Thompson Foundation is an advocacy group for.
The “Walk With the Dogs” begins at the Pavilion across the Creek at Memorial Park at 8 am. Festivities kick off at 7:30 and guest speaker Celeste Malick of Scheller who is currently fighting Pancreatic Cancer will be sharing her story with the attendees.
You can also begin buying raffle tickets and bidding on the amazing Silent Auction items (which include 4 Day Hopper Disney Passes donated by Disney World). The Walk will begin at 8 am after the traditional balloon release to those lost to Pancreatic Cancer.
