This Saturday morning, hundreds of purple-clad people, along with their four-legged pals crowded around the pavilion at Nashville’s Memorial Park for the 10th annual Walk With The Dogs for Pancreatic Cancer.

Prior to this year, this event has raised nearly $200,000, an amazing achievement, the magnitude of which was not lost on the founder of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Pam Acosta Marquardt, who was present in Nashville for the event.

“I was completely blown away by what I’ve seen today,” said Marquardt, “Omigosh, this town only has 3,200 people! I wanted to stop and take a picture of that sign that says ‘Nashville, 3,200’, because I’ve never seen that before.”
