Police Report

June 1

Nashville Police issued three citations to Rodney Bailey of Nashville, for driving on an expired registration sticker, for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and for driving while license suspended. Bailey was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended and was transported to Washington County Jail.

The Nashville Police Department responded to the 100 block of E. Lebanon for a domestic issue. Police subsequently arrested Joseph Strusz on a Marion County warrant.

Officers responded to the 400 block of N. Kaskaskia St. for a trespassing issue.

Police assisted EMS on a medical call on the 500 block of N. Kaskaskia St.

Officers responded to the 800 block of S. Mill St. for a suicidal subject.

June 2

Police responded to S. Heman St. and E. Gorman St. in regards to a two-vehicle crash. No injuries were reported. Katherine Watts of Nashville was backing out of her driveway and did not see Brandon Chwascinski of Nashville and backed into the side of his Charter van.

Police responded to St. Rt. 127 in front of the Little Nashville Shell Station in regards to a two-car crash with road blockage. No injuries were reported. The drivers involved were Nicholas Wilson of Oregon and Joyce Harvill of Tennessee. Wilson was traveling west out of the Shell’s driveway and pulled out in front of Harvill who was traveling north on St. Rt. 127. Both vehicles tried to swerve to avoid hitting each other but were unsuccessful.

Police took a report of theft from the 400 block of E. Elm St.

Officers took a theft report from the 17000 block of Mockingbird Rd.

Police responded to N. Washington St. for an ATV complaint.

Officers assisted the County Sheriff’s Dept. with a domestic battery call.

Police responded to the 700 block of W. St. Louis for a suspicious vehicle.

June 3

Police arrested Rigoberto Gutierrez-Santos, 34, of Nashville, for driving with no valid driver’s license. Gutierrez-Santos was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and issued a verbal warning for obstructed windshield, failure to wear a seatbelt, and for improper lane usage.

Police responded to a traffic crash on E. St. Louis St. at S. Mill St. Margaret Steury was stopped at a red light when a vehicle driven by Katy Kosydor rolled forward and bumped into the rear of Steury’s vehicle.

Officers responded to the 100 block of E. David Dr. for a civil dispute.

Police assisted County authorities with a crash on N. Grand Rd.

June 4

Officers responded to the 700 block of W. St. Louis St. for trespassing.

Police responded to the area of the judicial center for a suspicious person.

Officers responded to the 600 block of E. St. Louis St. for a child custody dispute.

Police assisted the Nashville Fire Department on the 1300 block of S. Mill St.

Officers responded to the 800 block of N. Kaskaskia St. for neighborhood trouble.

June 5

Police responded to the 300 block of E. Maple St. for a 911 hang-up call.

Officers responded to Subway for a suspicious vehicle.

Police responded to the 100 block of E. Angie Ave. for suspicious activity.

June 6

Police responded to 477 N. Frank St. to take a report of a traffic crash that occurred in the Dollar General Store parking lot. A vehicle driven by Sylvia Ponyl, 83, of Nashville, struck a vehicle driven by Stephanie Severs, 17, of Nashville, causing minimal damage.

Officers assisted County authorities on I-64 with a possible medical emergency.

Police took a report of fraud from the 400 block of S. Mill St.

Officers responded to an alarm on the 1500 block of S. Mill St.

Police responded to the 700 block of W. Maple St. for a barking dog complaint.

June 7

Officers responded to the 500 block of E. Legion Dr. for disorderly conduct/.

Police responded to the 100 block of E. David Dr. for a civil matter.

Officers issued citations to Osvaldo Alfaya-Santos for driving without a license and driving without insurance.

Police responded to the 600 block of E. St. Louis St. for a child custody exchange.

June 8

Officers responded to an alarm on the 1700 block of S. Mill St.

Police responded to the 9000 block of St. Rt. 127 for an alarm.
