We’re just getting too much rain! Wish we could share some with California. Our hearts go out to the farmers for planting and the wheat harvest.
Last Friday we also had strong winds with the rain. There was some tree damage along with lots of limbs and sticks down.
Leo Groennert died on June 10. His funeral service was held early on Saturday morning at Zion. We fondly remember Leo as a fun person. Our sympathy to his wife, Wanda and daughter Cathy. His pallbearers were nephews, Ronnie, Louie, Dewey, and Scott Groennert, Alan Edwards and cousin, Steve Launius.
Gary and Lisa Wiedwilt, Jonathan and Erin recently enjoyed a family vacation to Panama City Beach, Fla.
Vicki Buss, Gerry Doelling, and Darlene Ostendorf attended “Antony and Cleopatra” at the the Shakespeare Festival in St. Louis last Wednesday evening.
Darlene Ostendorf visited with Shirley Steinkamp of Centralia on Sunday afternoon. Shirley is recovering from back surgery.
Kenny and Judy Ostendorf went to the “Red Power Roundup” at Sedalia, Mo., at the State Fairgrounds last Thursday and Friday. They had a chance meeting of Kenny and Patty Jacobs of Okawville, who were also attending the event.
