A fire broke out at the Oakdale Country Kitchen on the morning of Monday, June 15.

The Oakdale eatery has been owned by Bonnie and Bill Gibson since 2011 and they recently had a major addition put on to the structure, which was where the fire spread. Smoke and water damage is throughout the building.

No one was hurt in the fire. Later in the day, a post on the Country Kitchen Facebook page displayed photos and stated that they do not yet know the exact extent of the damage or how long it will be before the restaurant might reopen.

Responding to the fire were the Coulterville, Addieville, Okawville and Nashville Fire Departments, the County Sheriff’s Department, Okawville Police Department, Illinois State Police, and the Washington County Ambulance Service.
