Range Taking The Reins At Nashville Municipal Golf Course
Virgil Range III is three months into his tenure as superintendent of the Nashville Municipal Golf Course, and the town and the job are suiting him.
Range took over for John Forys in March, bringing with him a wealth of experience. He has 14 years of experience and has served as superintendent to three other courses in Columbia, the west suburbs of Chicago and at a 9-hole country club in Maryville, Mo.
He and his wife, Julie, were married last September, and they are expecting a child in August. Both grew up in small towns, as Range is from New Athens and his wife hails from Maryville, Mo. He also has a son, Cole, who went to Air Force boot camp in March.
“We both were raised in small towns, and we really like Nashville,” Range said. “The community has been great and we look forward to having a family and spending many years here.”
