I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful 4th of July.
Ashley had fireworks this year thanks to the City of Ashley and Ashley Community Committee. Special thanks to Ryan Reid, Michael Steward, Fred Johnson and James Turner for the wonderful fireworks display. There will be a fireworks account at F&M Bank in Ashley for citizens to donate to for 2016 fireworks. You can make a donation at anytime through out the year.
Thanks to all the volunteers who donated time to help Ashley Community Committee with this event. Special thanks to Lantern Pub, Chops 1 and 2, Popeck’s, Nascote, Steward Concrete Finishing,Pitchford Elevator, and James Turner and The Citizens of Ashley for sponsoring Rainbow Ranch which was a huge hit. Thanks to Ashley Fire Department and Washington County Sheriffs office for the meet and great. To all the ladies who donated baked goods THANK YOU.
Ashley made the news yesterday as a reporter from Channel 3 was here. Did you happen to eat yesterday at the park?
The chicken and dumpling dinner was awesome thanks to New Heart Fellowship Church. Ashley Community Committee served up hamburgers and hot dogs hot off the grill and nachos and lots of sno-cones thanks to Bob Meyers the grill master.Chaddy Daddy B.B.Q ( Chad Setzekorn) had the best BBQ.
So if you liked the Ashley Independence Day Celebration this year make plans to get involved in next years event.

United Methodist Church will have Sunday School at 11 and Church at 11:45 with Pastor Dennis Gambill.
Betz will have her auction July 9th at 6pm at the Community Building make plans to attend.
