I think we are free from rain for awhile, at least. It has been so wet and water standing so long in places that it is beginning to stink.

The Ashley Community Committee held its first event Sunday with a variety of 4th of July entertainment. I could tell it was going to be a success from the amount of people who attended from the surrounding communities. There were lots of kids, and that’s what it’s all about.

Thanks to the ACC who did a great job.

If you have not had a chance to get your raffle tickets for the Richview Cemetery 10th annual fundraiser, contact Nancy Russell, Patty Hardesty or Rick True. Tickets are six for $5.00 on a chance to win a Queen Size hand-stitched quilt. Please give generously. Send your donation to Richview Cemetery Association, PO Box 22, Richview, Illinois, 62877. Just want to give a special ‘shout out’ to two special people, MLRP and Suzie. Have a great day.
