The Third Annual Hoyleton Hofbraufest Pet Parade, sponsored by Farmers & Merchants National Bank, was held Saturday, July 11.
The event was very well attended, 15 dogs and 1 goat participated in the fun.
The winners in the various categories were:
Most Beautiful Large Dog–Roscoe, owned by Lori Miller.
Most Beautiful Medium Size Dog–Daisy, owned by Kyle, Sydney and Emily Schnitker won First place, followed by Bella, owned by Shelby Thorson, who received Second place, and finally Dopey, owned by Pat Rensing, walked by Diane Maschhoff, with third.
In the Most Beautiful Small Dog category, Dexter Truman Kasten, owned by Zachary and Carley Kasten, received First place, followed by Lola, owned by Addy Schaeffer, who placed Second, and Remy, owned by Alexis Engelman, placed Third.
The winners in the Best Costumed Pet went to twins Prissie and Lil Bit, owned by Darrell and Anna Malcolm in First place, followed by Chico, owned by Kate Muenter, who took Second, and finally Dopey, owned by Pat Rensing, walked by Dianne Maschhoff, who took Third.
In the Most Beautiful Puppy category, Stormy Jo, owned by Jean Pinkston, received First place, followed by Maggie, owned by Shelby Thorson, received Second, and finally Maxine, owned by Emily Schaeffer, received Third place.
There was also a Best Pet Trick category. Bella, owned by Shelby Thorson, received first, followed by Daisy, owned by Kyle, Sydney and Emily Schnitker, who received second.
The Most Beautiful Other category was won by our one and only beautiful goat, Tucker, owned by Jessica Weihe.
The final category was the Crowd Favorite. Chico, who was dressed in authentic German lederhosen, owned by Kate Muenter took this title.
F & M employee Karianne Schnitker served as the event coordinator, while Jody Smith served as the official judge.
