The 3rd Annual Hoyleton Hofbraufest Pet Parade, sponsored by Farmers & Merchants National Bank, was held Saturday, July 11th. The event was very well attended as 15 dogs and 1 goat participated in the fun (See Page B8 For A Photo From The PEt Parade)
The winners in the various categories were: Most Beautiful Large Dog–Roscoe, owned by Lori Miller. Most Beautiful Medium Size Dog–Daisy, owned by Kyle, Sydney & Emily Schnitker won 1st place, followed by Bella, owned by Shelby Thorson, who received 2nd place, and finally Dopey, owned by Patricia Rensing, walked by Diane Maschhoff, with 3rd. In the Most Beautiful Small Dog category, Dexter Truman Kasten, owned by Zachary & Carley Kasten, received 1st place, followed by Lola, owned by Addy Schaeffer, who placed 2nd, and Remy, owned by Alexis Engelman, placed 3rd.
The winners in the Best Costumed Pet went to Twins, Prissie & Lil Bit, owned by Darrell & Anna Malcolm, won 1st place, followed by Chico, owned by Kate Muenter, took 2nd, and finally Dopey, owned by Patricia Rensing, walked by Dianne Maschhoff, took 3rd.
In the Most Beautiful Puppy category, Stormy Jo, owned by Jean Pinkston, received 1st place, followed by Maggie, owned by Shelby Thorson, received 2nd, and finally Maxine, owned by Emily Schaeffer, received 3rd place. We also had a Best Pet Trick category, Bella, owned by Shelby Thorson, received 1st, followed by Daisy, owned by Kyle, Sydney & Emily Schnitker, received 2nd. The Most Beautiful Other category was won by our one and only beautiful goat, Tucker, owned by Jessica Weihe. The finally category was the Crowd Favorite: Chico, who was dressed in authentic German lederhosen, owned by Kate Muenter took this title.
F & M employees, Karianne Schnitker served as the event coordinator, and Jody Smith served as the official judge. We would like to thank everyone who participated and F & M Bank for sponsoring this adorable event.
Over 100 Hofbraufest volunteer workers attended the Appreciation Dinner hosted by the Board Members of the Hoyleton Community Club. A delicious dinner was served complemented by fresh made desserts.
