Barn Quilt 4-H Special Interest Club

The Washington County 4-H program is pleased to announce a 4-H Barn Quilts of Washington County Club! Youth will work as a team with adult volunteers to construct and paint beautiful barn quilts.

The 4-H Barn Quilts will then be put on display across Washington County. Youth will learn about constructing the frame, priming the wood, visual arts techniques related to painting and patterns for quilts.

A brochure will be made showcasing the quilts and the history of the locations where the quilts are on display.

Adult volunteers are needed for this club. Please let us know if you can help-construct frames, paint, are a quilt block expert, for just have an interest in seeing these quilts displayed around the county.

Cost for youth to join this special interest club is $7 if they are not already 4-H members. This fee will allow new members access to all the benefits of 4-H.

For more information on how you can join this club, please contact Amanda Fox Clark at the Washington County Extension Office 618-327-8881.
