Nashville Football Game To Benefit the JDRF

On September 18, the Nashville Hornets will take on Anna-Jonesboro is going to be Tackling Type 1 Diabetes night to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation is the leading organization in Type 1 Diabetes research in the world, and is the largest charitable supporter of type 1 diabetes research.

Diabetes is the name given to disorders in which the body has trouble regulating its blood glucose levels. There are two major types of diabetes: type 1 and type 2.

Two hornet football players have type 1 diabetes, which is an autoimmune disease in which a person's pancreas stops producing insulin, which is a hormone that allows a person to get energy from food. Diabetes affects countless others around the community as well.

The Friends of Hornet football and the Nashville Hornets football team are selling t-shirts, with the proceeds going Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
