The Nashville High School Volleyball team will host a scrimmage next Tuesday August 25 as they prepare for their first game. The team features more of a defensive approach compared to last year’s team according to head coach Josh Konkel.

The team is coming off an incredible season in which they finished 33-4 and saw the team be ranked first in their regional only to fall to Waterloo Gibault in the regional finals in two sets.

The volleyball team uses this matchup to give the fans a preview of what is to come in the upcoming season, as well as allow some of the younger players to get some experienced in an actual match with fans cheering them on.

The first official match for the volleyball team is scheduled for August 27 away at Murphysboro High School. The matchup is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM.

The team's first home matchup will take place on Thursday September 3 against Breese Central in Assembly Hall. That game is also slated to begin at 5:30 PM
