Counselors’ Report

NCHS Counseling Office

Transition Visits: There are excellent opportunities in the next months for students to make transition visits. Students interested in technical schools, junior colleges, armed services, universities, etc. should consider the following days when Nashville High School is not in session or dismisses early:

Friday, September 18 (11:30 Dismissal)

Monday, October 12 (Columbus Day)

Friday, October 23 (School-Wide Testing Day, seniors do not attend)

Thursday, October 15 (12:00 dismissal)

Friday, October 16 (11:30 dismissal); Wednesday, November 11 (Veteran’s Day)

Wednesday, November 25 (Teacher Institute).

If you need assistance scheduling a visit, please contact Mrs. Maschhoff or Mrs. Luessenheide in the Counseling Office.

This encouragement for transition visits is for all students. It is never too early to make visits, but juniors and seniors should especially take advantage of these days. As a reminder, if students are going to miss any school time for visits, they must fill out a “Request to Visit” form and return it to the Counseling Office at least two days in advance of the visit. “Request to Visit” forms may be obtained in the Counseling Office or from the school website on the Counseling Office page.
