NMS Softball Loses Three Straight

Nashville Middle School Softball had a tough couple of games losing three straight to Carlyle, Trico, and Murphysboro.

Carlyle scored early in the first game putting across two runs in the fourth inning. Nashville came back in the fifth with one run, but could not come all the way back, losing the game 2-1. Nashville was led on offense by Addi Gale who went 1-2 with the lone RBI and Jordan Donato who went 1-3 with the lone run scored for Nashville. Whitley Hunter, Ashlyn Frazier, and Sammy Edwards also each had a hit for the junior hornettes.

Nashville was able to put together more offense but still narrowly fell in the second game to Trico, 8-7. Nashville picked up runs in each of the first three innings, but Trico stayed right with them. Trico took control of the game in the fourth plating three runs, adding another in the fifth. Nashville fought throughout the game scoring two in the fifth and one in the seventh. Nashville was led on the day by Olivia Cook who went 3-4 with 2 RBIs. Whitley Hunter also contributed 3 hits and Reagen Burke contributed 2.
