Girls Golf Wins Nashville Invitational Tournament

The Nashville girls golf team got their season underway this past week with the Nashville Invitational Tournament. The tournament team featured Nashville, Massac County, Pinckneyville, Carterville, Okawville, Mascoutah, Waltonville, Trico, and Centralia.

Finishing on top of the standings was Nashville finishing with a total low score of the day of 178. Following Nashville was Massac County with a score of 183, Pinckneyville that finished with a 189, Carterville with a 202, and Okawville finished out the top 5 with a 204. Mascoutah, Waltonville, Trico, and Centrailia rounded out the results.

Avery Rae from Carterville had the best score of the day finishing with a 38. Right behind her was Sara Breslin of Pinckneyville with a score of 41. The top Nashville finishers were Hope Rueter with a 42 and Sara Guetersloh with a 43. Jill Guetersloh shot a 45 in the tournament followed by Brooke Bartling shooting a 48, Rachael Kell with a 49, and Jordan Stiegman with a 50.
