Nashville Boys Golf Team Wins First Match Of The Year

Senior Tyler Wall tees off on the fourth hole in the first match of the year against Pinckneyville and Trico

The Nashville men's golf team got their season started out this past Wednesday night as they took on Trico and Pinckneyville at Nashville Municipal Golf Course. The matchup marked the first official match for the men's golf team that looks to repeat the success of the last two seasons, with back to back third place finishes at state.

The team was led by senior Tyler Wall, who finished with the best score of the day of 38 for the hornets. Junior Hayden Heggemeier finished tied for the second best score of the day with a 41.

Nashville finished at the top of the leaderboard as a team on the day with a score of 169. Junior, Tyler Williamson finished with a 44 for Nashville followed up by fellow junior Briley Dahncke.

Trico finished in second place with a 186 led by Naile with a 41. Pinckneyville finished 3rd in the match with a finishing score of 207 led by Luke with a 47
