New Kaskaskia College Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach Janelle Pfeiffer

The Kaskaskia College Athletic Department is announcing that Janelle (Kuhn) Pfeiffer has been hired as the new Assistant Coach for the KC Blue Angels Basketball Program.

Pfeiffer, a 2005 graduate of Okawville High School, played golf and basketball at Illinois College in Jacksonville where she was an all-conference selection in both sports. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education and Health.

Her basketball resume includes assistant girls basketball coach at West Central from 2009-2010; head girls basketball and golf coach at Red Bud High school from 2010-2014; and head girls basketball coach at Carlyle HS in 2014-2015.

Pfeiffer is the first female athlete at Okawville High School to achieve 12 Varsity Letters. She currently is teaching at Carlyle Jr. High School and resides in Okawville, with husband Andy.

Pfeiffer says of this new experience, "I am beyond excited to join the Kaskaskia College family and be a part of their athletic program.  I love the pride KC has for their sports teams and am over joyed to have the chance to work with our talented student-athletes. I am grateful for this opportunity and am eager to begin the season."

KC Head Coach Adam Esses says, “I am so excited to have Coach Pfeiffer join our Blue Angel family! She brings so much talent and experience to our program. I am looking forward to work with a coach of her caliber and she will be a great fit to Kaskaskia College”.
